The mission of Orphan for a Day is to awaken global awareness in Western young people through experiential learning, and to provide avenues to tangibly love and serve orphans.
1 out of 10 homes in Swaziland are led by children under the age of 11. Because of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, kids are left to fend for themselves. We believe Western students should have the opportunity to understand the challenges orphans face every day (especially those who are part of orphan headed households) and be given the opportunity to make a difference!
